Car Exterior
New drive technologies are driving change in exterior design: With innovative materials, efficient production, and CO2-reducing processes. KURZ presents ultra-thin decorations for the mobility of tomorrow. For example, new RIM designs and backlit front panels with a self-healing surface.
RIM design - Giving rims the ‘wow’ factor
The wheel rims are an eye-catching feature on every vehicle. A good reason to give them a decorative design. KURZ presents attractive and series-ready options that outshine classic wheel looks.
Rim inserts with new designs
We have further developed the design of the aerodynamic rim inserts for the wheels of our partner RONAL GROUP. At our stand, you will see a new holographic carbon decoration with depth and dynamic light effects.
RIM design live demo
Watch live how the rim inserts are decorated with a wafer-thin layer using the highly efficient PERFORMANCE+ hot-stamping process. The components can be inserted directly. Machine: GEBA 8/1S from KURZ subsidiary BAIER, with hot-stamping tools from KURZ subsidiary Hinderer + Mühlich).
Light - The language of tomorrow’s cars
This development takes Car-2-X communication to a new level: Innovative three-dimensional lighting and animation effects enable dynamic and individual messages and signals for drivers and road users. OSRAM mini-LEDs are applied to a thin, flexible, and transparent substrate using Functional Foil Bonding (FFB) and can thus be integrated into components. They are extremely adherent and can be arranged as desired.
Efficiency and design with DECOPUR® front panel solutions
NEW! KURZ has further optimized its DECOPUR® technology. This means that other plastic substrates can be used in addition to PC. The self-healing PUR layer has been reduced to 0.3 mm, resulting in considerable material savings. This solution won the SPE Award 2024.

Natural fibers for natural interior design
Until now, natural fiber composites were hidden behind plastic or textile decorative parts. That’s no longer the case. KURZ has developed special decorations that enhance the appearance of natural fiber materials such as flax, or kenaf with an incomparable finish and at the same time protect the surface.

Smart Home Operation Panel
The controller as a visual highlight: The decoration is produced using the efficient IMD process, which significantly reduces the carbon footprint compared to painting thanks to efficient process technology. Laser etching can be used to customize the surface design to create language variants and backlighting effects.
Revolutionary HMI design for Home Appliances
For this design, KURZ won the Iconic Award 2024 alongside the mechatronics specialist Marquardt and KURZ subsidiary POLY IC. The cost- and CO2-efficient IMD process has resulted in attractive and highly functional HMI panels for household appliances.
